Just had a background finished on Monday. The investigator said everything went fine and he was going to turn in his report either that day or the day after. I know it’s only Thursday but im already thinking crazy thought in my head about them not going any further with me. How long does it usually take for them to say they want to do a lie detector test on you? All this is for a July academy so I figured id here something by now. I just hope I don’t get a deer john letter saying they don’t want to go further with me. Am I acting too paranoid since its only been maxim 3 days that my background report was turned in.

There is a guy up in Folsom doing 5yrs after applying for a PD job & they ran him for wants & warrants duringt he BI..., he only had to wait 7hrs to get his results..LMAO

Just got the call to be scheduled for my voice stress analyzer test for Friday June 4. Wow, I guess I was being paranoid for nothing, it took 4 days for the call, lol. Any tips on what to wear, its at the police department, I will be going to get finger printed and have my voice stress analyzer test. Suite, and tie, casual?

It took me approximately two months after the BI was complete to get the phone call for polygraph and fingerprints. So you got it downright quickly! And I would say suit and tie for the VSA. Actually, its pretty much suit and tie here on out...
