I'm covered by TMRS. At some point between 27 years and 30 years it will start costing me money to come to work. The day I can make more retired is the day I leave. We also have a pretty nifty back end DROP. We can take a one, two , or three year DROP when we retire. I had my numbers ran not to long ago, and retiring with a DROP wasn't going to cost me to much at all. plus it was going to give me three years of benefit up front. That added to my severance ( vacation, holiday, and sick ) pay when I retire, I'll come out with a pretty nice nest egg the day I retire.
