Good afternoon everyoneI have a question that I was hoping some of you guys might answer for me. You see I drive a Ford Mustang with blackouts on the front of the car. I was wondering do you guys usually pull cars over with blackouts on them or is it not that serious? I live in Florida if that makes a difference. I heard mixed opinions on them, some people told me they are illegal during the night others tell me that they are illegal all of the time.

There are no specific statutes dealing with car products, only statutes stating what is required to have on a vehicle. If it is illegal, then it would fall under an equipment statute, which would be somewhere near 316.6XX. Do a search for "florida state statutes" on the internet.

I live in Flroida (Where in FLA do you live V6SSTANG?).
In FLA, it is 100% ILLEGAL(Not Legal, this is not a typo) To alter your car ANY WAY AT ALL WHATSOEVER from the manufacturer. You will not get pulled for it, it is more of a cover law.
But you will not get pulled, unless you are in some small town, where to cops dont have much to do. :D
Only kidding about the "Small town Cops" Joke.
Solego, Do you live in FL, I am asking because I want to know how you knew FS 316. contained the traffic laws. :D

In AZ, you would be busted. Im going out on a limb here but I thought the purpose of headLIGHTS was to provide light. Why do you want to make your headlights darker? I'm just curious.
