    If for no other reason, the OC training gives LE the oportunity to recognize the effects of OC by LE .....and how to deal with it. Of course the 'court testimony' is a given, however, the personal effect is greater still( if you have your mace used against you , you have an idea how it will effect you). Furthermore, the 'personal experience' angle gives credibility, as to how much shall be applied......and how 'one' will relent, and give first aid........(water application).

    If I get in a struggle with a suspect and he gets ahold of my OC.....I should be ok as long as he is not armed with a squirt bottle full of water too!!!!!!

    That's been my experience in real life half the time as well. You spray a subject, it seems to have very little effect, but when you get him handcuffed and in the back of the car, he starts screaming bloody murder. :D

    Same deal here in NY......if your partner uses it.....expect every other cop there to be affected.....and usually the perp ends up with the least.....
