After the fight I uses to ask people, why they would want to fight someone who was 6-1 , weighed 200 lbs, wore a bullet proof vest, two guns, a baton & oc, who had a radio to call 100 people dressed the say way to help? I got the same answer all the time. " I don't know man, just dumb I guess"

As Jeff Foxworthy's friend used to say, here's your sign.

I think it would be quite a stretch to articulate someone using a belt as deadly force. :D

As a black belt in Shotokan karate and with extensive training in many other martial arts, I think that the most important thing to consider is the fact that almost all genuine martial artists would never brag or confront a police officer with their skills. The people cops should be scared about are the freaks that take a two day self defence course and think that they are some expert. A real martial artist, like myself, would not even have this thought cross through their mind. EVER.

I agree with Kranny. Although calling youself a "true martial artist" is just asking for an argument. I would also like to say that out of all the martial arts I have trained in TKD did the least for actual self defense, its a good work out, but not much in the lines of defense when brawling.

I am not a LEO however and cannot nor was I speaking of the effects of different martial arts while performing the duties of an officer. I can however speak from personal experience and that was such. :D
