121, i 'at one time' considered your opinions 'well thought out.' At least thoes opinions 'seemed' to be. Yet you tell me to 'Go away' , without even giving a reasonable response to a simple question i have asked( that you stated you knew.........."at will agencies").
Any LE that has experienced 'at will agencies', and its use, will consider this an insult.
This being said , 'whom' should GO AWAY?
I started in 1980 at $1095 a month, I was single with absolutely no responsibilities. I lived pretty well off then. I owned a new 4x4 truck and went partying every weekend.
Now in 2004, I'm divorced with 3 kids, one of whom I have custody of. I make just over $50,000 a year with overtime. I drive an 02 Suburban, but to balance that out I have to live in a half rent apartment. I live decently, but I'm not going to be making any trips to the paradise any time soon either.
I'm not getting rich off of a police salary, but I'm not distitute either.
I'm the cop you see when you don't want to see a cop
According to the recruting info I have...

This of course is without overtime for working over, being called in on days off, and court time. My friend is at "Full Rate" but actually earned 61,000 last year vs. the 49,000 he was supposed to make.
Damn! From 5 yrs to 20, they only give you a $6K raise! That sucks!
