reckless driving

i had my car forfeitured for reckless driving it was involved in street racing my friend got arrested i was told it helps the fact i own it and my firend ogt arreseted due to the fact he aint the owner now also i jus bought the car got a loan on it this happened in new york city does it happen often they give back cars to reckless drivers or am i gonna pay my loan for a car i dont have for next 3 years???? please help and answer me this im losing all hope

Good luck getting sympathy at this website. If you street race, they should be able to take your car away from your for LIFE. Begone!

May I suggest an expensive lawyer ? I actually can't but maybe the yellow pages can be of assistance.

A street is NOT a playground and a car is NOT a toy. When certain people can't remember this, they get treated like a little kid and get their toys taken away !!

You need a lawyer. You could try to petition the court for your car back.

Actually, I think his statement is that his FRIEND was racing, he is just the knucklehead that loaned the car.

I could be wrong, it just seems to be the case.

I am not 100% on NY law, but I am willing to bet it is now forfeit.

Yeah, he lent the car to his friend, who thought that it would be a good idea to race with it. My advice for the future: Get new friends, don't lend them your car, and learn some punctuation.

Thats like loaning your friend a gun and having them shoot it. A car is a deadly weapon and many people have died in street racing. Dude youre hosed dont you know you shouldnt loan your car to people who are using it for illegal purposes you should go to jail too maybe in the pen you can learn to use grammar and punctuation correctly and then come back into the real world in a few years and be a productive member of society but I doubt it I agree with seth428 i was going to make a similar point but he got to it first I think you just learned a hard and very expensive lesson

I grew up in Queens. I remember kids getting killed drag racing every so often. "the fast and the furious" gimme a break.
