It was my third time driving on a highway and I was a little nervous since I was driving to Minessota from Chicago. Anyway, on the first tollway I wasnt thinking straight and I ended up at the trucks only lane. So I had no chance to pay my toll. Its been 16 days already and I still didn't receive any ticket. Will it still come? and how much will I have to pay?

lol@Norm...there is a chance that you might get away with it but I strongly recommend that you pay attention and pay the $.40 or else it will get very costly for you in the long run.

For any of us who've lived in, or even driven through Chicago, this has happened.... I used to travel to Chicago fairly often on business, and I can't tell you the number of times I DID drop my .40 cents in the bucket, and it never said "GO".... So I just went... Never got a ticket, thankfully....

Maybe you got lucky and the camera missed your tag. I know In Atlanta that people were stealing those little decals from cars and putting them on their vehicles, and it was causing big problems with their system. Anyway I wouldn't sweat it to much.

Damn, the toll is only 40 cents!?! Our bridge toll is two bucks and going up to three bucks very soon! May I suggest you call the toll road authority and ask if they will accept payment in lieu of a citation? It may be that too much time has elasped and the cite is on the way, but if not you are most likely going to save a bundle.

The toll is only .40 cents, but it's .40 cents every 5 miles in Chicago!!!! Just depends on which highway and which way you're trying to go.... maybe $0.40, maybe $2.00....

yeah, wait for the ticket in the mail, they took a pic of your plate... but i saw online you can buy these licence plate shields that actually have some reflective coating that will blind the cams, no idea if this is true...

My mom got a 25 dollar ticket for running a toll in NJ. She didnt exactly run it. She had an EZ Pass but it was mounted wrong and the sencors didnt pick it up. About a year ago I was traveling on the saw grass express way in florida (where I live) and I didnt have enough money for the toll. I must have been 15 cents short but there was nothign I could do. I never recived a ticket. I think its because I did put some money in.
