Coucousis,
I have great respect for your opinion. And we can agree to disagree. ;)
I know that she (actually her father) is going to speak with the officer's supervisor. I know that he has a specific result in mind (correcting the accident report and having his daughter found not-guilty on the ticket) and that he will do what it takes to get there (within reason!). If a simple chat with the supervisor gets the result informally then he will be happy with that. I hope that's how it goes.
(assuming this girl was not flat-out lying) I also hope that the next time this officer takes an accident report he is more even in his handling of the involved drivers.
And when you said 'complaint board' I mistook you for an actual physical list of people who have made complaints... DUH me. Sorry. You meant a formal panel of people who review the complaint? like I said right above, if he can get where he needs to go without going with an official complaint then he will accept that. Hopefully when he speaks with the officers involved they can come to a better understanding about what really went on... Wether that be an amended accident report, testimony for the defense, (or even proving his daughter wrong  )...
