I have never taken X so I can't speak from personal experience. I have read alot of research pertaining to its effects and have spoken first hand with more then my share of users that we have busted. We have sent several pills from different busts to our State lab for analysis and have found the following to hold true: that many pills sold as 'ecstasy' have been shown to contain other drugs instead, sometimes in dangerous combinations. Other drugs commonly found instead of MDMA are MDEA, MDA, MBDB, MDE, 2CB, Ketamine, amphetamine, LSD, pseudoephedrine and pharmaceutical agents. Some pills contain no psychoactive substances at all. MDEA (MDE) has a shorter duration of action (2 hours) and is more amphetamine-like, having less emotional effects. MBDB is quite similar to MDMA but is described by some as less intense with a greater 'cognitive' component as distinct from 'empathogenic/emotional', MDA is far more psychedelic (LSD-like) and is considered to be more toxic. 2CB is more psychedelic than MDMA but less so than MDA. Amphetamine is a very common additive, and the links between amphetamine use and paranoid psychosis, for example, are well established. MDEA is also very common in the UK 20, is closer to amphetamine in its effects than MDMA, and may possibly show a more similar profile to amphetamine in terms of adverse effects. Ketamine has been given to experimental subjects to produce a 'model schizophrenia' and can be profoundly hallucinogenic.

As for sex drives: Reading the research and speaking to our "frequent flyers" has led me to believe that there is more hype then truth concerning the extreme sex drive issue.
Go ahead and run.....my k-9 partner loves the exercise

It does not produce freaky sex or extremem hornyness (sp), it hightens (sp) your sensitivity to touch. Hence...

A Lack of sleep is not a neuro toxin  Do you even know what a neuro toxin is?

Of course I know What a neurotoxin is and can be. I wouldn't have commented on it if I didn't.

Do you know what a neurotoxin is? Quick, go look it up.

    K9cop...good analysis.

I'm not saying MDMA is harmless. Like anything, it can be abused and certain people can experience adverse effects, but to classify it as dangerous as heroin is an inaccurate comparison.

Your comment on it was baseless, illogical and NOT a comparsion.

    .........

asshat. why does that word crack me up? :D

Look, I know that its easy on a messageboard someone's reply as heated or condesending so i just want you to know thats not the case. OK, that being said...

my comparison is based on the fact that there are many substances that can influence and/or act on the nervous system. Alcohol can do that and so can exhaustion. In a literal sense, perhaps my analogy wasn't the clearest, but I believe its more valid than comparing Ecstacy to heroin.

    :D

OK. Fair enough. I disagree, though, that comparing sleep deprivation to a neuro toxin is a better analogy than comparing heroin to it.
