All these questions that I've read dealt with smoking marijuana, but is it still possible to become a cop if you've tried harsher things (once) for experimenting purposes and realized that it wasn't for you? Thanks

Uh...probably not. At least in the near future. Maybe when you get out of rehab and stay clean for a few years you might have a chance.
But seriously, just the fact that you tried these things to apparently see if they WERE for you is an indication of lack of good judgement and maturity.

every deartment has its own policy. there is no yes or no answer to this question. you may have to wait a while though

how about mdma, shrooms, and ketamine...all once each...and it's been over two years...and i've learned not to ever do them again.

Some departments will permanently DQ you for using that stuff. Others will likely require a LONG wait of 5 or more years but don't take my word for it as every dept can be different. Just don't lie on your app, if they find out, you will be FOREVER "blacklisted".

what happens if I join a department...that isn't so strict and make it...is it possible for me to change to a different department that would've been strict?

So basically..what I'm asking is..if I change departments..are they going to DQ me based on that type of stuff?

YEs, if the other dept has a permanent DQ for "Special K" then it won't matter where you came from.
