Yes I do love it when you guys petition for the 302. We still usually do the transport, but it saves us much paperwork and extended report writing. Whenever we get a call for a 302, we basically all say "I ain't petitioning" or "He better go voluntarily." When police or family petition it is such a relief. I'm not sure about York County, mcsap, but our county mental health can take hours to approve a 302 (they cover the greater Pittsburgh area, so they're pretty busy with other nuts.)
