Got a real nasty neighbor that insists on showing us his middle finger everytime the guy sees us on the road (even tried running us off the rouad once about 6 weeks ago) and uses VERY foul language at me and my hubby every time we walk out of our house or work in our yard or grill out on the patio. We have tried for 5 months just to ignore the guy (who is a convicted felon) thinking that he will quit when he sees he's not getting a reaction from us but the more we ignore him the worse this is getting. He is just a real jerk and this all started because we asked him to move his vehicle from being directly in front of our driveway across the street because the street is so narrow that we have a tough time getting out. He still continues to do this to irritate us and the police said ignore him and they realize he is doing this to annoy us but he is annoying us within the law and its not illegal for him to be parked where he is so therefore they can't offer any help with this situation. We have accepted that but this guy still insists on this obnoxious and childish behavior and frankly we are tired of being harrassed. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would also say ignore him, but I don't have to deal with him. I don't know what else you could do besides maybe start video taping his behaviour. That will build a case for anything he may do in the future that is on the other side of the law. He also may stop when he sees what you're doing.

Just curious...how do you know he's a convicted felon?

We know that he is a convicted felon on parole because the local PD told us but did not state what felony he committed. Thanks for the advice, the surviellance camera is actually what we had in mind next, but start with the $10.00 fake one hoping that will be enough.

This is a tough situation. I know that you don't want to hear "keep on ignoring him" but there is really nothing else you can do but that with the info you have given us.
