Here is my situation. Years ago I applied with a law enforcement agency, during the course of my investigation I filled out some background statements about my history (Bad stuff) which were extreme exaggerations of the truth. I was told " It will help you clear your mind for the polygraph" I was young and made the mistake of writing what I was advised to. I ended up withdrawing my name from the active list and was told the info would never be released to any other law enforcement agency. I am now applying with another agency I have passed everything including the Polygraph and now I'm about to start my background investigation. I recently found out that the 1st agency I applied with is going to give the statements I filled out to the current agency I'm applying with. Will these statements automatically disqualify me? Or will passing the polygraph put me in the clear? The main question is will the current agency just go by the statements I filled out years ago and DQ me? Any investigators or anyone with helpful info please reply.
