yeah be honest or very very good at strecthing the truth.
No, but there are several threads here that you can do a search for. I am sure you may find your answer there.
I think we all know where this is going, just bite your lip
Polygraph: Very simple. Just be honest. They aren't going to not hire you over some minor indiscretions in your past. They will, however, not hire you if they think you are being dishonest.
Interview: First, make sure you look sharp. First impressions are everything, so wear a conservative suit, get a conservative haircut, and polish those shoes! Also, when you are being introduced to the panel, give each one a firm handshake and look them in the eye. I know this sounds obvious so far, but not everyone does it, and every little bit counts. When they ask you questions, take a moment or two to think about them, then articulate your answer, backing it up with concrete examples from your life if possible. If they question you about your answer, or play devil's advocate with you a little bit, don't think that means you got it wrong. They are testing to see if you are confident in your ability to answer. Stick to your guns, and provide more examples to back yourself up if you can. Although there has been some disagreement on this subject, I personally think that when they ask at the end if you have any questions, that is not the time to ask if they give takehome cars or if they have a SWAT team. :D Ask the recruiters those questions before you get to the interview step. Make sure you give them another firm handshake with eye contact on the way out, and thank them very much. If you are good at remembering names, use them! (i.e. thank you Sgt. Jones, thank you very much Trooper First Class Lee, etc.)
Hope this helps.
