Question about getting hired.

I've passed the Physical Agility Test, 2 cognitive skills test, 2 Personaility tests, taken a required web based Questionnaire, passed the polygraph exam and the Background exam, The only thing I have left is the medical and psych exam, problem is I was scheduled for both at the beginning of this month, but I cancelled and rescheduled because I was sick, Now, because I rescheduled I am trying for a spot on a later academy date, Did I mess up my chances of being hired because I couldnt make it?

I don't have an answer either, but holy crap that is a lot of tests to go through.

So are you hired already? Testing for a dept.? Or trying to get in the academy self sponsored? I'm confused.

Sorry for the confustion I'm in the final phase of the Hiring process for the Va State Police, just waiting on the medical/psych exam in a few weeks.

I find it funny that while I was reading all the selection criteria you went through, I almost KNEW you were testing to become a VA LEO. The fact of the matter is that when you complete a phase of the selection process, you are competing for a vacancy within an upcoming Academy. The testing cycle you went through initially was for the upcoming Academy. Because you missed a phase of the selection process, you will be competing for a slot in the NEXT academy (most likely because you are considered INCOMPLETE for selection). This does not necessarily hinder your chances at selection; it actually gives you a fresh start. You will be competing against others that are just beginning the process. To be completely honest, as long as you pass the requirements for selection, you WILL have a slot for the Academy. VA State Police almost NEVER completely fill their Academies with qualified recruits. Good luck!!

I was scheduled for the May 10th class, but now im scheduled for the June 27th Academy,of course that's I pass the medical/psych exam.

How are things in Va Beach? Love the Waterfront down there!
