If a valid OFP was violated (at a domestic) what would the charge be? Gross or Misdemeanor?
I cant think of the answer :(

The letters you use are not common natiowide. Neither is the penalty terminology as far as a "gross".
If you are referring to a "protection from abuse" type order that a female typically gets against a male who has assaulted/threatened her then...in our state is is NOT criminal but is civil contempt of a judges order. We cuff , stuff and arraign them under the contempt statute for which the max penalty is 6 months and or a $1,000 fine.
We had a 19 yr old go by his exgirlfriends house last night to pick up his tv. She has a NO CONTACT order. Her parents called and we arrested him. He claimed that the order was modified to allow contact. We verified that she APPLIED to have it changed but the hearing isn't until 4-14.
Since this was his second offense, his bail was $30,000.00

OFP=TRO? (temporary restraining order)?
OFP=TPO (temporary protection order)?
"I'll make him an offer he can't refuse."
OFP = Order For Protection
Off the top of my head, it should be a misdemeanor offense if there are no prior violations. I would have to look it up is state statutes to be positive though.
