I would like to know how long does the selection process usually take to complete for this department. I would also like to know, How long is a passing score on the written exam usually valid for. Thanks

DC Law will likely know the answer to this, when he sees the title of this thread, he will stop in.

Well, I was waiting to see if any MPDC candidates on here would take a stab at this; but as I see none have, I will take the liberty of answering your question. If you have attempted to contact recruiting, there is a good chance you have come across some mouthy civilians who like to tell you there are things for them to know, and you to find out. Don't ask me why. Just the way things are over there.

The process, from start to finish, usually takes 6 months, taking into consideration that there is nothing that will delay you, such as unpaid parking tickets (if you owe money to the DC Gov't, pay it off - pronto!)
Or anything else that might raise a flag.

The test is valid for a year.

If there is anything else you would like to know, let me know. But let me know quick. My contacts are hard to get a hold of for extended periods at a time.
I never did give anybody hell. I just told the truth, and they thought it was hell.
