    Old Tickets

I had some parking tickets from 1998 and 1999 that I jus paid off today. I found some old tickets in my car and did some research to see if they were paid off. They were paid off, but there were two other parking tickets that I had totally forgotten about that were never paid. Apparently there has been a warrant issued for me for quite some time now in regards to these two $15 tickets. I paid them today and the people at the traffic violations department said they would be sending out a letter to have the warrant lifted and that I should be all set. My question is, will this affect me during the hiring process? And if so, how?

they will look into it, but in reality you forgot to pay a parking ticket, you didnt commit armed robbery. i think you will be fine since it has been cleared up

Not likely. As long as there are no CURRENT outstanding fines or warrants, you should be in good shape. You cna now truthfully say that you have NO outstanding fines and NO warrants out for your arrest. Doesn't that feel better ?

All we usually ask IF you got any tickets within the last ____ years and what for. It would have looked BAD if they showed up as unpaid or warrants.

We also ask if you have ever had any warrant issued for you. If you get a warrant in NV, we will suspend your license so it is easy to check.
