    any advice for written test

I go to take it in about 5 days here in CA. I have been studying one of those barrons study guides which is kicking my butt. Just wondering if anyone has any good advice before I go. Also i have a few questions.

How many of the sections are the memory tests? Study this for 10 minutes then turn and answer the qustions without it.

And how long does it normally take to complete the test? Or should i say how long do you normally have?

What should I wear? button up shirt and slacks or more?

any other advice on the actual test would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did they specify any specific study guides? If so, you should make sure you have it.

Memory, do like the Barron's guide suggests and you'll be fine. The best advice is DON'T STOP thinking about the memory item while you wait. And write down everything the instant you get a scrap piece of paper.

Otherwise, relax and don't second guess yourself. If you absolutely, 100% know you need to change and answer, change it. Otherwise, leave it alone.

First, do you know for sure that they use the memory test? Not everyone does. Also, from what I know and have seen most written tests only require casual dress. I have found that if you have a high school education you should be able to pass without much worry.

I am not sure if they use the memory test. And no they didnt specify any study guides when they invited me to take the test. I ask about the memory test because those are the ones I get all mixed up.

I remember a lot of it had to do with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation (look at a sentence and identify the mistakes - if any), map directions (you are given a picture of a city map and asked to find the quickest route between "A" and "B") and the memory test (10 minutes to study a crime scene photo then answer questions - I don't remember how many questions exactly). I didn't find it that hard at all - I had no prior LE experience at the time I took the test. I think I scored a 93.
