I have flat feet, can this prevent me from becoming a police officer?

I have just passed my interview but am worried about the medical examination because someone told me you cant get into the police force if you have flat feet. I have never experienced any problems with my feet, no pain or shin splints or anything and i run 10 km 4 times a week. Can anybody let me know whats the real stance on applicants with flat feet? please help, i really really want this job!

i dont think it would matter too much in police work. i know the military wont take you.
I do what I can do when I can do it.

I got into both the military (USCG) and the police department with flat feet. I don't think flat feet would preclude you from a department - unless they are significantly deformed

ROFLMAO. It is true, they won't turn you down for flat feet. Basically, you just wear arch supports.

Actually, it depends on when you go in, if you go at the end of the month or fiscal year, they are more flexible with their standards. I got into the military with flat feet, and had some trouble after my 4 years were up, and the police physical DID note it, but I have never heard of someone getting refused for it.
