The .44 is not really a good police weapon. The ability to carry a custom weapon would depend on the agency. Hope this helps.

Not exactly the ideal weapon to show the jury when you are involved in a shooting or civil lawsuit.

Off duty, I can carry whatever I want.
And a .44 would not make a good duty weapon, to much recoil. This isn't " Dirty Harry ".
