Pennsylvania question regarding tags from used car dealer

Hi folks,
My wife and I recently purchased a used vehicle from a used dealer lot.
All went well and I feel they were very honest with us, inspected it, repaired some minor problems, etc.
Having never purchased a used car before in Pennsylvania (which is where we reside as well), I am unsure about the tags process. The dealer gave us not only a temporary paper tag that is affixed in the back window, but also a real license plate, which he put on the car, that has no registration sticker. Needless to say I am confused. Will we get ticketed for not having the sticker? I am unsure how this works in Pennsylvania.

The paper tag is considered your temporary registration. It has an expiration date on it. They are usually good for 90 days and at some point during that time PennDOT will send you a registration card (use the pink slip until then if you are stopped or in an accident) and the plate sticker to put in the TOP LEFT HAND CORNER of the plate. Just wanted to emphasize the location . You can then take off the paper tag.

You will likely have the sticker within a month. I like to bash PennDOT but they are pretty good with updating records and such. Chances are I could run your plate in a week or two and an expiration would be shown, probably 7/2013...
