No. There are no visibility requirements in Florida. I can hide however I want, as long as I can clearly see the violation. If you, or someone you know recieved a ticket, and are planning on using this as a defense, I ask you this....

Do you have to obey the traffic laws ONLY when the police are around, or all the time? So, why does it matter if I am hidden, or visible. You should be doing the right thing, all the time, even when I am not there.

I was in an unmarked car one day and a guy was tailgating the living daylights out of me. I pulled him over and cited him for it. He said he wouldn't have done that if he knew that I was a police officer. I said " it shouldn't matter who it was , don't tailgate !!"

You guys are stealing my HAT thunder..Lol..I have folks complaining constantly when I "black out" claiming its "entrapment" I try not to laugh when I explain what entrapment is..(so you would have been doing the speed limit etc. if I wasnt there etc. and I made you do something you normally wouldnt?) It usually ends there.. We have no Policy at our agency that pertains to "blacking out" we do it neighborhoods to catch criminals etc, even have kill switches for all lights (brake etc)....

Pretty soon you'll have to be wearing your hat AND your hat will have to have a reflective stripe or LED lights on it...
