I am going to school for an associates in applied science - respiratory therapy. I am 20 years old and the program will take 2 years to complete and I will have my associates. My main goal is to become a law enforcement officer. I am getting my degree in this as a backup plan.
My work history isn't to good.
Job 1 - Walked out after working there for 8 months. Just got tired of how my manager was treating me for so long. I was 16 years old. -video store
Job 2 - 17 Years old. Had to call in a few times because I had to stay after school do get math help. They let me go because I called in to many times. -grocery store
Job 3 - 19 Years old. I was promoted to electronic lead at Kmart. Left an item out without locking it up. Security guy saw it and was demoted to a front end cashier, without even a warning. I walked out.
Job 4 - Bank Teller - Still at the job and plan to be until after I get my degree. Hopefully the long period of time at this job will help a little.
I really wish I took jobs more seriously, instead of treating them as summer/temporary jobs. that didn't matter.
I have never been arrested, never have done drugs, I don't drink. I have had 3 traffic violations in my whole life. Only think I have done bad is took a coke and didn't pay for it when I was 16 at the video.
I don't plan on applying at a big department, so the requirements shouldn't be as tough. Do you think just time at this job should help me a lot?
