Yes, that's the whole purpose of the poly (to test your truthfulness on responses you gave in your background questionnaire).

They should go over the questions with you beforehand and if you think one will cause you problems, explain why to the examiner. Then the examiner can phrase the questions, "Other than _________, have you ever_______?" Sometimes fairly innocent stuff can trigger a deceptive response if it's not cleared up.

I have a legitimate reason though. I find my pasty white legs to be more intimidating then anything on my belt.

Very true. I've taken 3 polygraphs with 3 different agencies, and was nervous during each one (less with the 3rd than the 2nd, and less with the 2nd than the first). It's a nerve-racking experience because it's designed to be that way, but it's something you have to do it you want the job at an agency that requires it.

Hopefully you meant that you intend to list everything. The way your post reads it seems you have "stuff" you want to be honest about, implying there is also stuff you wish to be deceptive regarding.
