Scooter on Sidewalk? Legal in Texas?

I was wondering if it was legal to ride a small scooter on the sidewalk in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in Texas? I'm going to be using it to go to work. I live a short distance but not walking distance. Here is a picture of what I am talking about (add a "w" at the beginning):

    Thanks for any info.

Not legal, the side walk is reserved for pedestrians and motorized devices utilized by the handicapped (your not even supposed to ride bikes on a sidewalk). Its also illegal to operate that thing on a public roadway. The only place that you could legally ride what you described above is on private property.... I hope you didn't already buy one.
