A 911 call has been dispatched as a wreckless driver. Two - four Officer's are responding. One of the first two officer's had been previously that day at the subjects-WF house for a suicide check. The subject hands over her "cancealed weapons ID' as her identification. One officer respondds that he needs her DL. At this time two more officers arrive on scene. The subject then is allowed to enter her home to obtain her DL.
At this time the 911 caller has started to accuse the passenger of the vehicle a BM of driving. The four officer's direct all of their attention to the BM.
The subject is still in her home. The BM begins to plead to the Officer's that they need to go in and check on the subject, that she cannot be in there alone. They ignore him. After 10 minutes goes by, the passenger states: It does't take more than 5 minutes to get your license.
At that time, the officer's head towards the residence and then radio in, shots fired.
If the Officer's are outside the subject residence and heres shots fired, what would be the standard protocol or procedures at this point before entering the subjects home?
And what protocol or procedures did they not follow by allowing the WF subject to enter her home?
