    Wink pitbull question

My boyfriend drives a semi truck and wants to get a puppy that has part pitbull in it, when he goes to a city such as detroit that has laws against pitbulls, will he get a ticket if he is found with the dog in his semi if he is delivering a load there?

    Not Here Doggy Doggy Doggy

Some cities have discussed having a visitor obtain a permit prior to entering the city with a pit bull. I don't know which cities, at this point, have enacted that particular clause into their laws or ordinances. A truck driver with a pit bull in the cab would, I imagine, have to look into each city that he will pass through or stop. It seems quite ridiculous.

There are many discussions on this topic throughout the United States concerning not only the ownership of a pit bull but also the ability to breed this dog within their jurisdiction. Many discussions are left at that, discussions with no law being enacted. The bottom line is that I don't have an answer to the pit bull in the cab of a truck question. I don't believe there is a solid answer.
