What should I do in this situation?

Hi my name is Hon and I am from the state of Massachusetts.

I just wanted to know if I should report
To the police regarding about these girls who has harrassed my friends mamy times which includes attacking unexpectedly ( my girl friends mind their own business/just having fun) from behind, therefore my friends had to try fighting back. Point is, my friends are all well mannered girls/mothers; they have no idea why these 2; yes, two girls from out of our city would cause problems all of the time ( it happened 3 times already) and just recently, things went out of hands and one girl had to go to the ER.

My question is: am I able to report this even if nothing is happening at the moment ? as in ... Showing the police who these disgusting people are and actually have something done to stop them. Or ... That would be useless because I lack evidence?

Physical attacks are certainly worth reporting, but as Samuel said, it's not your place to do so when the victims are known and can do so themselves. Feel free to be a witness, though.

I agree with the answers above but wonder why the attacks are occurring. It usually involves a boyfriend that both fighting parties are familiar with.

Your friend may qualify, at a minimum, for a Harassment Prevention Order (the new anti-bullying protection order). She'll have to apply for it herself (through the courts during the day, or local PD at night / weekends).

And two people don't attack the same person repeatedly for no reason. Something provoked this, and I'm willing to bet it's likely involving a guy.

Thank you. There IS actually a reason... An immature reason. The girls from outside said the reason why they hit my friend is because supposedly my friend wanted to "jump" them. They use this excuse but my friend is a respectful ans is an ppropriate mannered mother. But yes, thank you so much for the advice!
