    Grand Canyon Trip

Hey. Planning a trip down the Grand Canyon in a year or so. Planning to do mountain biking around the rim, but would love to do other stuff too. Any recommendations as to what I should include in the plans?

    Thanks guys!

Butters, you know, I have no idea... Would like to find out.

Parameters of my trip may have changed... Lots of news at work today and I may no longer be living in AZ in a couple of months....

I do still want hints tho, as to possible activities at the Grand Canyon regarding hikes or such. Granted, the primary focus of the trip will be mountain biking, but it would be fun to alternate with something else...

I hear the north rim is great although I've never gone to that side. If you get a chance, drive out away from the major tourist sites along the south rim - the scenery is just as good but a lot less people.

If you get a chance, visit Bryce Canyon up in Utah. It's not as big but in my opinion it's prettier and more scenic.

They have donkey rides (or was it mule rides?), to the bottom of the canyon which are pretty fun. There's also helicopter tours of the canyon if you feel like forking over the dough. It's been about 3 1/2 years since I was last there, so I don't remember too much of what there is to do. You can try google searching grand canyon and see if they have a national park website, i'm sure it has a lot of ideas of activities
