I need to know if I have a case. I live in Iowa
I was headed eastbound in the outside lane stoppped at a red light. I am the first car at the light with a van next to me. A suv headed east bound had an arrow to turn southbound in front of me. He ran the light and as my light turned green I was hit in the side of my car by a motor cycle. I have a police report with a witness that stated I did have a green light. IThe ploice said they could have written her 2 tickets but they did not (lazy..didnt want to do paper work)
The motor cyclist stated she turned on a yellow and was following closely behind the SUV who ran the yellow/red arrow light yet she hit the side of my car (popped my front driver sides tire) Insurance companies refused both our claims and now she is taking me to small claims court. Court is coming up next week. Any help would help. I had a green light as stated by the witness behind me. Thank you!!!!! help!!

LOL.....
A citation is normally not very much paper work at all. In many cases the only paper work involved is the citation itself. Compare that a a DWI that contains about 20+ - pages of paper work.
Sounds like you need a lawyer.

Yep, would have answered but was too lazy to type out an actual response. Go to civilattorney.com
I guess you mean the SUV was westbound but I was almost too lazy to ask.
Accident reports indicate what violations were committed , not whose fault it is.
Does the accident report CLEARLY state that the other driver(s) committed a traffic offense and that you did NOT commit any ?
Insurance companies don't have to agree with the police assessment of the crash. If they feel their insured is more credible , then they can do that and refuse to pay. We can't make them pay. They make money by refusing claims unless it is CLEARLY the fault of their insured.

In some places running in red light is already approved by the law and other states are thinking about it. Nebraska is thinking about a bill that would allow motorcycle drivers to run red lights under certain conditions. Opponents say the move is too great a safety danger. You can read more about the article [LINK ATTEMPT REMOVED] Running Red Lights

ariaswan, first off, Welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle. Please think about going to the New Member Introductions (http://www.realpolice.net/forums/new-member-introductions-15/) forum and posting a thread telling us a bit about yourself and what brought you to our site.
Secondly, we have a limit on the number of posts you must make before being allowed to post links. When you include a link to a website in your very first post, we most likely believe it to be you attempting to gain free advertising for a site you're involved in. I have removed the link you attempted to post and am warning you here not to do it again, or you will jeopardize your posting privileges here at RP.
Thirdly, you've decided to make your first post in a thread that's well over a year old. Also, the original poster (OP) hasn't ever even come back to make a comment on it, so it's a good assumption that they received the answer they were looking for. Please do not comment on old, dormant threads. It's considered very bad form here at RP. If you have some new information, we'd prefer you to start a new thread.
Thanks. And I'm letting this one rest in peace now.
