If your agency wants to suspend you or take some kind of adverse action for misconduct, is there any way to object to it? How would you go about this without a union?

We have a set appeals process. Start by submitting certain paperwork to my immediate supervisor. He forwards it to the review board (I don't know who actually makes up the review board), and they make a decision and forward their recommendation to the chief, who has the ultimate say, but usually goes with the board.
As a form of civil disobedience, one could run around without pants on until the brass changes their minds...
Heck of a way to introduce yourself...
The answers you already got on 911jobforums.com are spot-on. If you're a member of FLEOA, call them. If not, well, time to learn what the grievance process is for your agency. Also, I noticed your IP address matches that of southernagent, please explain why you have created a new username when you already have an existing account?

I could not access the other account, so I created a new one to answer your question sir. Thanks for the feedback.

I will ban the other account since it's not permissible to have multiple accounts on this site. Also, your username implies you are a LEO (1811 or some other federal agent), and as such you will need to be verified to keep your current username. To be verified, please see the information in my signature block below. Your prompt response on verification is appreciated.
While is plate is full right now with "other issues," he has publicized this across multiple law enforcment boards and keeps researching if his agency can go after him for a off-duty DUI.
He is not a member of FLEOA, had no professional liability insurance and is scouring for somebody to give him hope in a hopeless situation.
Southernagent and agentguy has been told about the need to be verified in the past. I have communicated with him via PM. No response. There is a chance he may not a LEO much longer. Nearing the point of no return.......

Might be best to ban both accounts if that's the case.

In many agencies there is a form of due process. Usually a proposing official (like your supervisor) prosposes discipline (usually on the harsh side) and then you have a n opportunity to make a written and/or oral statement. Then the deciding official should go through the Douglas Factors (research that one - too lengthy to get into here) and then makes a decision. The decision is usually much less than what the proposing official proposes.

He should be counting his lucky stars all he is getting is a suspension. How do you "object" to an arrest?

I have arrested numerous people who have STRENUOUSLY objected to being arrested. But they still got arrested.
:wink5:
As the OP has been banned for ignoring repeated requests to become verified, I think we are better off putting this one to bed.
