Hello all,
In addition to a couple other agencies I will be applying for shortly, one prospective agency I have been interested in is the US Bureau of Prisons.
I was wondering if any BOP'ers on here could advise me on what it's actually like working as a BOP CO. What is the work week like? Schedules? Up's and down's, in's and out's, etc...
Thank you in advance!
I'm not familiar with any regular members here with (or previously with) BOP, though it's possible one could stumble on this thread. I'd recommend checking out the federal sub-forum on 911jobforums.com. There's Feds from a plethora of agencies on there, including BOP.

You could try some other LE forums. There is also a current thread on Federalsoup about federal correctional officers.

Sorry to post to a bit of an older thread, but if you still have questions, I can answer them. I've been with the BoP for 5 years and some change..
If anyone has questions about BoP and stumbles across this thread (search is amazing) feel free to PM me since I rarely actually look at the DoC thread since BoP is DoJ/Federal.
