Hi all,

I'm looking for details on a small Sheriff's Dept and the type of personnel that would comprise it.

I'm doing a story on either Plumas County (in CA), which has a population of 20,000, or Alpine County (CA), which has a population of 1,100.

What kind of personnel could you expect in a Sheriff's Office? Would each dept have a detective unit? How many deputies would there be?

Thanks!

Because YMMV (greatly), I would give those departments a call and get some general info...
