Hi all. I just wanted to get everyones input here, I respect all of your opinions and appreciate any advice.
So I am 24 years old currently working in a call center. All my life the only jobs I've ever been able to get are customer service jobs, so It's all I know. I've always had this feeling in my gut, like I should be doing something else. I feel like I've got the personality and the character to take on police work, or something of the sort. I think that I would be good at it.
Recently I've been in contact with the TSA. I've applied with them over a year ago and they are still following up with me. I'm sure that with persitence I could get my foot in the door.
The thing is I am so sick of working customer service jobs I don't want to mistakenly take another. I think that I would like police or patrol work.. I guess the only thing to do would be just to dive in and not look back.
I'm wondering if people could tell me more about what it's like being an officer or working night patrol. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks.
