Hello everyone, I have been a long time lurker on the boards, and decided to finally make my first post. First off I am currently a sophomore in college majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. Obvisously I want a career in law enforcement, or I wouldn't be posting here. I was wondering what you guys all think of my chance of being hired by the KCMO PD. I know times are tough for most departments, but some officers said that they are always hiring. For the most part I have no background in law enforcement, being that I am a college student. I have no criminal convictions except for two speeding tickets that were issued when I was 17 and 18, and a Minor in Possession of Alcohol that the court later dropped, because I wasn't in possession of anything. As far as school goes I play a college sport, have a cumulative g.p.a. of 2.87, and have already completed one internship my freshman summer. I have another one lined up this summer, and the one following that one. That will give me 3 summers of internships with the department I would like to work for. I look forward to reading your responses.
