hello. I've been browsing these boards as a guest for a while now. A lot of threads on my similar title, but not my situation. I am anxious to be apart of NYPD and to become a LEO. I just want to see where I stand.

+
62 college credits (no degree)
No criminal history (Never had metal around my writs, never run in with the cops)
Same job for 5 years (also my 1st job)
No credit cards, mortgages, debt (still living with my parents)
confident
high morale

-
MJ December 2009 (first and last time)
2 violations (cell phone, stop sign)
1 parking ticket (no standing zone)

my only concern is my experimentation with drugs, I did read most of the drug related threads on these forums, however I just want some light shed on my situation (not that I'm in much of a situation?)

We require 5 years clean from any drug. Other PD's may vary.

What you should do is work on improving your background. Why not take those 62 credits and at least make them into an AA degree of some sort ? Are you in shape ? Do any volunteer work ? Involved in the community ?

There are a lot of " you " out there. You need to do what you can to make yourself a better " you " than what you are now. Or you'll just be another person in the ocean of average people.

My .02

I see what your saying. Isn't the NYPD process about 3 years now anyway? So figure it would be around 5-6 years? No? But I do see what your saying
