I just went through a behavioral interview which was the last step of the hiring process other than the drug test and medical exam. I passed the PT test, Written test, Initial interview, Polygraph, Background Investigation and Psycological tests. I am worries about this behavioral interview I was only asked 3 scenarios and it lasted about 15 mins. The panel board had no questions at the end and that was that. I am wondering if this short interview is a good or bad thing? I know that no one can know a 100% because it all depends on how my interview went but I am looking for some opinions; based on everything I have passed I hope this does not bring me down. I answered to the best of my knowledge but I also am not sure because I do not know what the proper procedures are and they told me that in the beggining ( they informed me that they understand that I am unaware of their procedures but they ware just looking for reasonable and close enough answers) I would appreacite the feedback. Thank you!

Virtually impossible to say. Generally, the longer the interview the better, but I have no idea of how they were conducting it. It would be helpful if you knew others who took the test and ask them what they experienced.

Interviews I'd had and sitting on those boards, often the scenarios are changed slightly after the initial question to see how you would change your actions. But they may be looking for black and white answers. Don't be discourage until you hear.

Thank you I know that it varies, but the Initial Interview was about 3 hours and thats when I received the conditional offer. The behavioral interview was based on three scenarios they presented to me and asked me what would I do. I answered in common sense but I am unsure if it was correct. It was 3 board members and one was asking the questions the other two members were writing down information. The other two members had no questions at the end and neither did third member. Most officers I spoke to told me this interview is opinion based and does not take long. There is no correct or incorrect answers, they just want to see how you would react in different situations. I talked about my answers with a few different people and they said I gave excellent answers so I guess im worried for no reason. If I passed everything else then why wouldnt I pass this. I was confident with my answers . I appreaciate your response to my question.
