Omg! that's crazy don't get me started on idiot drivers...I almost got in a four car pile up yesterday b/c some dummy was in the left lane and needed to turn right so he decides to literally slam on brakes come to a complete stop put on his blinker wait for other traffic then turn, and the cars behind him including myself was all going 55 mph...YES I HONKED very loudly...people are just dumb. and she's just nasty.

That's what got me. I had to check the author again to make sure it was a woman after the looks "would stop a clock" comment and "grooming her hoohah". Brutal. lol.

The cool thing about the South is you can say anything you want about someone as long as you precede it or end with "bless their heart"..... That's right after the stop the clock and before the groomed love rug wouldn't make a difference.

My Sgt. placed a copy of this in my mailbox at the office today. Read it when I came in and laughed my *** off.

well you know we do have a bunch of beach goers....just saying...I just could not imaine being that * brave*...or that desparte...

I will say this though and I am from Florida. born and raised . I was really upset one day ( my grandfather just passed away) and I was leaving a shopping center and looked down briefly and I ended up hitting a parked car...that's probably one of the stupidest things I've done in my life....THANK GOD the owner was very cool about it considering the truck look like she bought it at a junk yard but I felt really bad...so yeah I guess it's in our blood to be badd drivers...lol

One night I saw a guy go through a stop sign and then bounce off the dividing median. I pulled him over thinking he was drunk. I saw a woman passenger, but didn't pay that much initial attention to her, but told him to get out of the car. He said, "I can't". I again demanded he step out of the car and he again said he couldn't. I opened the door, pulled him out and his pants were down at his knees and he had a full erection. Apparently the passenger was performing oral sex on him and he hit Nirvana about the same time he reached the stop sign.

Another day in the park.....

I've seen that happen too.....:rolleyes5: And bear in mind, I only worked uniform for 10 years..... But I worked some "interesting" parts of the city.

During that ten years I worked first in the very poor black neighborhood and then the poor white trash area.

I think the white was worse. At least in the black area, there wasn't nearly as much inbreeding. In the PWT neighborhood, there were family trees with no branches, seriously. One guy I knew of had three children that were also his grandchildren. The only reason there was no banjo music was that no one was bright enough to play one. And working graveyard, you see the ones that are too scary to come out during the day. Most Americans can't conceive of the lifestyle and social norms in some of these areas. It has all to do with economics and culture.

The sad thing is, these people are pretty much ignored by the establishment. They have all sorts of federal programs for homeless, minorities, illegal immigrants, etc., but they want to pretend the PWT don't exist.

ugh...do you think it's because they are uneducated to the services available to them or b/c they CHOOSE to live this way....in my line of work i have been introduced to some pretty interesting characters myself.... scary people.. my favorite one was the one we called " Norman Bates"..... I still get the heebies when I think of him...People are interesting to watch and study for sure...yes i am a people watcher big time no not STALKER just a watcher I take in more then what I let out..Believe it or not....:)

Combination of both. Some of the culture goes back generations, but although services are available, few government entities are interested in reaching out to them. And too, they are distrustful of people from outside their world, including anyone from the government. And that has some validity, government representatives are more apt to do things to them rather than for them.

yeah but if they choose that life style why should they reach out to them..don't get me wrong I will give a person the shirt off my back if they need it BUT...I think people make their own consequences by the choices they make in life . we are each born with a fair shot of being something and someone even those people that Grew up in a bad home have the opportunity to change and break the pattern...I believe in helping people but I also think people should take incentive to help themselves too....just my thoughts...

I don't disagree. Most welfare programs are designed to "keep people in their place" rather than helping them. If they were serious, they would put real job training programs in those areas. Get people into apprenticeship programs like plumbing, carpentry, etc., but that would upset the status quo and threaten the jobs of the middle class. So we throw them welfare that's just enough to live on and give them no incentive to move upwards.

When I worked the ghetto after the riots, I watch the federal programs they came in with. They were nothing but shams that did nothing but line the pockets of some local charlatans.
