There certainly are some peanuts in Kingaroy!!! :)
Nice song. She sounds special. Actually I was up at Kingaroy Rodeo about 15 years ago (when I sued to ride). I reckon I might have met her....wasn't that drunk though. :)

I rode my motor bike from Adealide to Mission Beach once, back in the mid 90's.
I got to Banana, up near Biloela, and got a flat tyre. I hade to stay the night at Biloela while I waited for a spare to be shipped out from Rockhampton. I thought it would be nice...a quiet nights sleep in a little country pub. I could hit the hay early and get a good sleep for the next days ride.
Then I found out that just below my room (which was above the beer garden) was a CHAD MORGAN concert!!!! I just lay in bed to the soothing sounds of the Sheik from Crubby Creek!!!
I bumped into him years later at a servo near Toowoomba and told him about that night and he had a good laugh.
You realise those are his real teeth!!!

Yeah a lot less growing ones & a lot more 2 legged ones these days
to tell the truth I hate Kingaroy, it's too cityfied for me, dodge it whenever I can...

You have a good taste in music Gumtree.
I particularly like 'We've Done Us Proud', a tribute to Slim Dusty and Australia.
With 'I am Australian', I reckon it's hard to beat The Seekers version, with Bruce Woodley and Judith Durham. My view is that it should have been our National Anthem.
My other favourite country singer is John Williamson, especially 'Cootamundra Wattle'.
Of course I could then start going on about my favourite Irish songs and singers such as Celtic Woman but we'll leave that for another time.:yesnod:?
Thanks for the memories.
Cheers.
P/S - I forgot to add another of my favourites which means a lot to me,

Thanks :smile5:
Yeah it's hard to beat Slim, and that song is one of my favourites :) & another is G'day G'day
but I didn't post it.
I thinks that it's the Seekers who are singing I am Australian in the one I posted.
John Williamson's ok, my mum like's his music, but I'm not to struck on it, there is the odd song of his that I like, but they are few and far between. :)
My favourite singer is Dean Perrett, my mum however (although she hasn't said much) I get the feeling that she likes his music about as much as I like John W's
I haven't had much to do with Irish music, Although gauging from what I seen I've got the idea that I'd probably like it, :)
