You will want to watch this on full screen. Great video!

This is the Royal Norwegian Guard. Pretty impressive.

This is "RiverDance" with boots and rifles !

THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF PRECISION!!

Those are US made Garand M-1 rifles (WWII), and they are heavy weapons (9.5 POUNDS EACH).

When that one young fellow goes on his own - YOU'VE NEVER SEEN A RIFLE SPUN THAT FAST -

Rifle drill is awesome. Fixed bayonets makes it insane.

I used to have a few videos of Texas A&M Fish Drill practice but can't find them.

Some of the pair competition and throws they do is amazing they don't kill each other. I've seen catches on the bayonet and it can still cut their hands.

The bayonets is what makes it so great to watch. If they wanted to be safe, they could use broomsticks.

Oh absolutely. But even without bayonets, a 10 lb rifle stock to the forehead isn't particularly healthy.

And then there is the pain of PT that can come from stuff not even involving getting hit and stuck. The stop in mid stride of the inspecting NCO Marine toward the end of this drill is priceless. Silent but body language is everything.

Love it, love it, love it, RDS. If you like this type of precision, you might also love drum and bugle corps. In fact one of the best Corps around is from your neck of the woods - called the Santa Clara Vanguard and the Blue Devils from somewhere in California too. They are two of the best in the world. First time I ever saw a D&B Corp was in late 70's when the Blue Devil's drum line drummed with perfect precision to Santana's Black Magic Woman. It still sends chills up my spine thinking about it :)
