Hi, the reasaon why im posting on the website is obviously cause i have no clue and cant find this answer anywhere for this state,

according to the international Police code of 5354.3.4.54 "Running lights on for saftey" Does this mean that if cops are hidden (entrapment) that i actually can not get a ticket nor do i even have to pull over according to the internation law section 521.2.35 part 8. or are these international Police Codes only for the UK and can the Police officers in the city of Conn. actually be hiding in the dark with no lights on and then pull you over?

how does it work for our state, and no i did not get a ticket, i am just wondering so i can work for my town after i come back from deployment. thank you for your time and answers i appreciate it.

If you live in Connecticut, you need to follow the traffic laws of your state, not some "international law" (which I have no idea where you got that or where that's actually in effect). If you want to bring that up in court, be my guest (good luck with that one!), but refusing to pull over to a police vehicle initiating a traffic stop is not only incredibly stupid, but will guarantee you end up arrested (as well as charged with attempting to elude police/resisting arrest).

Either you are, or you are not speeding, whether the car is visible to you or not has no bearing on the legality of your ticket.

I can tell you now that has nothing to do with UK law.

The only two universal things I can think of in law enforcement,
is the sound a Remington 870 shotgun makes when it the slide is worked and
the sound a HK MP5 makes when the charging handle is slapped.

PS how fast were your going on the ticket?

Police in Connecticut are not required to have the vehicle lights on when conducting speed enforcement. If they wish, they can park their car a mile away, dress in a ghillie suit, and hide in the bushes with a laser to do speed enforcement, calling in your speed and your license plate to another unit waiting down the road to write you a ticket.

Connecticut General Statutes, Title 14, Section 283(e) reads:
Upon the immediate approach of an emergency vehicle making use of such an audible warning signal device and such visible flashing or revolving lights or of any state or local police vehicle properly and lawfully making use of an audible warning signal device only, the operator of every other vehicle in the immediate vicinity shall immediately drive to a position parallel to, and as close as possible to, the right-hand edge or curb of the roadway clear of any intersection and shall stop and remain in such position until the emergency vehicle has passed, except when otherwise directed by a state or local police officer or a firefighter.

Just on a side note, how is it entrapment? We didn't force or co-erce you to do anything.
