View Full Version : Scalping tickets

Is there anyway to report scapling tickets? I recently tried buying tickets to an event that was sold out in 8 hours. Of course, this means the option to buy the ticket was available 20 min later on Craigslist. So I emailed inquiring about the tickets:

"6 are available. i have received a lot of emails so please make an offer on how many you want and at what price and we can probably work something out..." - the responded email from the seller.

This is an obvious offer to pay auction prices to give the scalper the greatest profit (not even a ticketing agency as far as I can tell since the hotmail account had a first and last name, as opposed to a company) for simply hogging all the tickets.

While I am aware I am selfishly taking action because this is affecting me - I also take big issue with scalpers in general who prevent families from buying tickets at affordable prices to make profit on something that is not theres. And, it is illegal in Mass to do so.

How can I report this?

I want the tickets, but would rather stop this unfair practice....
