Two men were reportedly left on the ground after accidentally starting a fight with three soldiers at the weekend.

According to The Sun, the two men drunkenly attempted to provoke George Cross winners L/Cpl Matt Croucher, 26, Captain Peter Norton, 47, and Australian Cpl Mark Donaldson, 31.

The three soldiers, who were wearing their medals but also dressed in civilian clothing, reportedly told the two men and their Staffordshire bull terrier to "walk away", only for them to refuse.

A witness said: "It was a case of yobs picking on the wrong people. After they ended up on the ground the guys just calmly adjusted their suits and walked off."

Just for your info the Victoria Cross is the highest military decoration in the Commonwealth. Think Meal of Honor.

The George Cross is a british medal and is for the same level of bravery except where no enemy is present.

The Aussie, DONALDSON VC, was SAS in Afghanistan working with US soldiers when they were ambushed. DONALDSON saw that there was wounded and decided to draw the enemy fire by making a target of himself so that the wounded could be tended to. As they moved the wounded out in vehicles DONALDSON saw that a wounded Afghani interpreter had been left behind. DONALDSON went back single handed and recovered the wounded man under intense fire.

CROUCHER got the George Cross when he realised he had just stepped on a booby trap device. He chose to throw himself towards the bomb to take the blast which was taken by his back pack throwing him some distance and leaving him with a blood nose and a headache. No doubt he saved his colleagues from injury or death by his actions.

NORTON got the GC when working with US Forces who had been hit by an IED. He went in to help and was hit by one as well, losing an arm and a leg. After first aid he refused a medivac until he was able to make safe the scene, during which a third device was located.

So the story fails to mention that these a$$hats picked a fight with a bloke with one leg and one arm missing, as well as his two mates. Gutless pieces of crap got what they deserve.
