Well.. while waiting and being in school, started a club, was captain of a team and president of student government. Sought out internships and landed a couple. Started working out and getting in shape a lot more my senior year. And since I have graduated, been working and working out.

What have you been doing so far studentcj?

Ive done a 2 internships, I havent stopped working out since I was 16, and have 1 more semester and then I will be done with grad school

With going to school plus working 2 jobs to pay for such school without taking out loans, doesn't leave me much free time. As much as I have enjoyed my undergrad and grad days Im ready to get hired and start my career

I want to start off local after graduating, but there are 2 federal agencies im interested in

studentcj that's good. Start applying now, border patrol is making a big push and your 2 internships will help you out a lot. Hiring drives come and go fortunately for me the marshals were have a huge hiring frenzy.

Just be warned with the govnt and from my own experience it seems as if they dont have an empty desk, you may have a difficult time getting hired with that particular agency. Just something to keep in mind.

Best advice I ever heard was to live life as normal.

PT, work out, stay out of trouble, be a good husband/wife, etc...once the agency calls/emails do the task required and go back to normal life.

The process takes a long time in most cases, there is no reason to show up out of shape.

yes one of the negatives I continue to hear about federal agencies is the need for a lot of patience and the long hiring freezes that seem to pop up quite frequently
