I attended the recruitment event for Atlanta Police Department in Michigan 3 weeks ago and haven't received a phone call from an investigator. I'm just wondering how long does it take to receive a phone call and if anyone attended the recruitment event have you started your background investigation? I have called and sent an email but still no response.

I attended the recruitment event in Atlanta on the 16th of Aug. I received a call last week from a BI and he told me that someone would call me at the end of this week to schedule my PT test. Have you heard anything?

I wouldn't do it. Morale is low, they have the dirtiest drug squad ever, and the pay sucks. Also if you arn't Dr. King, you are going to be disapointed.

What do you mean "If you aren't Dr. King.."? That comment makes no sense.
I read that story when it occurred, you don' think that happens in other departments?
I know the pay isn't that great in ATL but it's a starting point. Not many departments are hiring in MI so if ATL is willing to accept me I am more than willing to work for them.
