I am currently pursuing my aas in criminal justice and applied for a ride around at my local Police Department outside of Chicago IL. The Captain informed me that I was not accepted because of my background check and told me to look into expunging my arrest records. I was never convicted and am wondering if this will help my chances? the arrest were all more than five years ago, but were domestics, and driving on a suspended license. the suspended license was for underage drinking and driving. I was also charged as a minor and had that has allready been expunged.
