BAD Switchback!!! No donut!!!!!!!!
It is hardly "the original" TASER. The original was the AIR TASER!
TF-76 Taser...
And, before the Air Taser, JakeLock was dancing to this:

With the new case law out, I tried to "Air-Taze" someone the other day. Funny, though, my finger pointed out and me going "ZZZ-ZZZ-ZZZ", just didn't have the same effect as the real thing.
You think that's bad? Just wait till you need to use deadly force!

No clue. But not not "original taser" or original "air taser."
Air Taser 34000 can be seen in this brochure. (http://www.taser.com/COMPANY/Pages/trivia.aspx) . Doesn't have pistol grip, similar to original taser.
The original Taser (TF-76) was cylindrical and looked like flashlight. Haven't found a pic though.
It looks similar to M18 (model just before m26c and I think they look similar. (http://www.beststungun.com/images/taserii.jpg) It's fitted with an Air TASER cartridge. Dunno.
Here's is other pic of m18. (http://www.spyandsecurity.com/images/products/taserfeatures.jpg)
It looks to me like differences between original M18 and advance M16/M26 include printing on the pistol grip. Not sure about other differences. It looks like this pic was taken just before or after name change from "AiR TASER" to "Taser International".
This is Google knowledge. so search and see if they match what you think.
Looks like safety is reversed if I am seeing the dot correctly?
What do you mean by "Safety reversed?" The M26 and M18 have ambidexterous safeties.

That's cuz you didn't do it right. You have to do the "ticka ticka ticka ticka ticka" sound for it to actuall be effective ;)

I was looking at armed being "down" instead of "up". It's not the case as the dot is visible in both cases. I am not familiar with either model and was just going on the picture. For some reason I always expect "armed" to have a big red dot visible and I didn't see it in either the up or down position :). You got me before I edited that out :).

Tha's 'cuz fingers only work in drive stun mode. It's actually very effective. :)
