To my understanding, these test(s) are basic aptitude/skill assessments. I too have an upcoming scheduled test for correctional officer. I recently picked up a study guide as to give me an idea as what to expect on the exam. In my opinion, these test(s) are weighing in on your knowledge to simply read, comprehend, organize, and to perform basic mathematics. There is nothing really extravagant about this test. It is geared toward measuring your existing knowledge/comprehension and aptitude.

I hope this helps!!
